The Globe is a place where people of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities come to browse, read, have engaging discussions, or just escape the daily grind. Located in a beautiful 115 year old historic building in the heart of Prague with nine meter vaulted ceilings, the Globe Bookstore and Cafe is expat Prague's literary epicenter. It provides a unique meeting place for artists, writers, students and travelers. The cafe regularly hosts literary readings, live music and other special events. Founded in 1993, the Globe Bookstore is Pragues's first and finest English language bookstore, offering a wide selection of approximately 10.000 hand-picked quality titles that will impress even the most avid reader. In addition, our beautiful cafe serves some of Prague's most delicious coffee and food against the backdrop of rotating exhibitions by the region's leading artists. We have FREE Wi-Fi in the cafe, and computers available for word processing, printing, or just browsing the internet for only 1kc/minute. Our customers are invited to sit back, relax in our warm, inviting atmosphere. We serve cocktails, freshly roasted coffee and Pragues's best home cooking of both local and international favorites. Breakfast is served Monday to Friday 9:30 to 11:30, followed by Lunch with Business Menu Specials until 15:00 and the Main Menu served until late. And do not miss one of Prague's most popular brunches,served every Saturday and Sunday 9:30 to 15:00.
